Renzokusei Scans' Holiday Release Special

And so marks the end of our 6 day long Holiday release special! It wasn't what I was initially planning, but I'm still happy with the end result. 19 releases in 6 days is not something I ever imagined being able to do, especially since I got back, but we did it anyway. This was a big undertaking for a small group like us, and we would not have been able to get so much if not for every single person that helped out. So, a very big thanks to everybody for helping get this special done;

abcd9146, ER, jagman1x3, and Zom-B for scanning
roankun, unc15, fluppi, Viscoun and Kurosagi for translating (Eru13 too, even if Mondaiji didn't make it out)
Locklear001 and blakout for proofreading
madcat5, kobe, and roankun for cleaning and redrawing
skribbles, A-Lila, Nevan, jH, and Kiss for typesetting

As fun as this was, it was considerably, considerably time consuming. It also came at a rather great cost to my own health, as I was sick even before I started planning it, and doing the work only aggravated it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but given that I'm still not at all healthy, I will not be doing any work myself on the 30th or the 31st. I was going to have more stuff put out today, but it seems I've really gotten to the end of my wire these past couple of weeks, and I need to take some proper time away to recover.

I hope everybody enjoyed all of the releases, and you can expect to see a lot more coming from us in the future!

Info on the series that didn't get a release during this special, and other news can be found after the jump.

Some updates and the like:
We are going to be having 2 special release weeks in the month of January. They are both going to be weeks where we release 1 chapter a day of series until we've released the last chapter. The first special week is going to be for Perowan. It will be a 6 day special, seeing 7 releases. All of the volume has been translated, it just needs to be cleaned and handed off to jH of ScansRemix to typeset. The second special week is going to be for Sore ga Kanojo no Seigi nara. Seigi nara has ended in the latest issue of Dengeki Daioh, at chapter 23. So, we are 7 chapters behind. Meaning that special will last 7 days long. I'm awaiting the HQ scans for the rest of the chapters, so once I get them cleaning will start.

I'm also going to try and plan a small special release day on January 15th, as that day marks one whole year I've been scanlating. But at the moment I have idea if we'll be able to, much less if I want to do something that'll come at the cost of my health again.

As some may have noticed already, on the news gadget on the side, I've added a small list of new planned series we are going to be doing. I don't recall saying anything regarding the four series before, so instead this'll serve as the more detailed information for them:
Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge - I found that chapters 16-18 had been sitting on MH for quite some time, and recently chapter 19 was also translated. I contacted the translator and asked for permission to use their TLs. They agreed to let us use them, so we've got translations for 4 chapters of the series at the moment. Don't quite know yet if they plan on translating more or not, but we are picking the series up and will be trying to catch up as best as we can.

Mayo Chiki! - I previously posted about being interested in the series, and possibly contacting simhauu about a joint a the series. So, I did end up contacting them, and we worked a joint out. Though we won't be starting on it with them until chapter 24.

MM! - This is a series I've been interested in for some time, but never really was able to get it jump started. I was also partially hesitant because I knew that the series ended rather prematurely due to the original author's death. Regardless, I hate seeing a manga dropped/stalled for whatever reasons, so we will be picking it up.

Reideen - This is another series roankun came to me about completing. I personally have no clue what the series is about, I just know that it had an anime adaptation, and the manga is only 3 scanlated chapters away from completion.

So... what about the stuff that didn't get released during the special?
Amagoi - More releases of this will start to come again next month. However, we still lack scans for the final volume in the series. If we're still unable to obtain scans for it by the time my job starts up again, I will purchase it. But I'd like to avoid having to do that.

Choi Hime - I wish I could say I knew when more of this would be coming, but I can't. roan's agreed to translate and finish the series, but we still lack usable scans for the only volume it has. Like Amagoi, if we're still unable to get scans for it by the time my job starts again, I will buy it.

H₂O - Footprints in the Sand - Chapter 5 was both translated and kinda cleaned, it just needs to be typeset. Will be released after the new year.

Houkago Wind Orchestra - Chapter 6 was translated, originally for this Holiday special, but didn't get to see a release because I rather underestimated the chapter's length of 41 pages. It's largely complete, so it'll be released after the new year.

In Bura! - Chapter 9 is both translated, cleaned, and typeset. But the redraws left are annoyingly difficult, and I've still got to QC the typeset and add in the proofread script. Will be released after the new year.

Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou - The final chapter's scans are now available. I'll be starting the cleaning on the 1st, and given that there are only 2 chapters left it shouldn't take me very long to complete said cleaning. It's the redraws that'll be real annoying to complete, but chapter 4 should see a release early next month as well.

Mondaiji tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru soudesuyo? - Like HWO before, chapter 1 was originally translated for the Holiday release. It was going to get released, but kobe ran into real life problems right before Christmas and wasn't able to start on and complete the color pages. Will be released after the new year.

Pajama na Kanojo - The last two chapters were originally planned for release during this special. Chapter 25 was cleaned and typeset but has several difficult redraws left. Chapter 26 is being typeset. Both will be released after the new year.

RealPG - Chapters 12-14 are being translated. Will be released after the new year.

Seven Sisters! - I wanted to plan to get chapters 5 and 6 for this out on Christmas, but Ethan's apparently been busy too much, so I haven't heard from him in a month now. If it goes too much longer without any sort of contact, I'll give some chapters to unc to do, since it was a series he initially told me he was interested in.

Sora no Manimani - At the time we first started planning, I didn't have anyone who'd TL any of the series, so it was never planned to see a release then. However, unc will be doing chapters of this periodically inbetween his main assignments, so releases of this will start coming next month again.

Tonari no Kashiwagi-san - Given that this is one of my favorite mangas period, I wanted to get stuff out for Christmas, but I didn't see much point in releasing ch39 by itself as VI already did theirs. Wasn't able to get the money to buy the magazine this month, but I should be able to in January. Though, if I don't next month either I'll basically just end up releasing ch39-42 in February, since I know I'll be able to start buying everything that month.
