Everything after the jump.
Unfortunately, it is once again time for me to go back to work. Which means that from now until October, releases will once again, largely be mitigated to Friday-Sunday, very rarely happening Mon-Thurs. We weren't able to release everything I had wanted to, most notably finishing Seigi nara and Harvest December, as well as catching up on some of our other series, but we managed 73 releases during my off time, and released the final chapters for Mayo Chiki!, Sora no Otoshimono, and Soutaisei Moteron.
Along with picking up new series in Highschool DxD, Saikin Imouto, and some more to come in Ikebukuro Hatsu Zetsekai Yuki!, Sayabito - Sword of Destiny, Kin no Kanojo Gin no Kanojo, and a joint project with Dungeon & Griffin Scans on the series Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka.
Yeah we definitely have been getting over our heads in the amount of series and work we do, but thanks to ER, Demo, Scarlet Razelrink, BJ-Bu, Valcherion, roankun, BokoLife, Zack, Takuo, Okami no Fansub, pacman2, Dethorhyne, A-Lila, Nevan, Lauk, and several freelance redrawers we have ever been so steadily increasing our output and making our way through our backlog at a faster rate than we were before. Yes, we are still behind on the majority of stuff we do, and a handful of our series lack updates due to not having raws or a translator, but we will continue to release great manga in the best possible quality we can manage.
I've stressed to Demo that I want him to get ahead of me translation wise, as everything he has translated for us, we have released, with the lone exception of JKKJ. He's going to have anywhere from 2-5 days almost every single week from now until October to get ahead of me, so I'm really hoping we'll be able to get out several chapters every single weekend.
Anyway, some project updates;
New Series Pickups
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka - This is going to be a joint project between us and Dragon & Griffin Scans. Since Sora no Otoshimono has ended (sans the upcoming extra chapter this month), I was looking for a new magazine to buy, and I gravitated towards Young Gangan, and this series is in that magazine. We'll be providing raws, as well as cleaning and redrawing it, and they do the rest. As the magazine comes out twice a month, to save us $30 a month, we will be getting both issues at the end of each month, with the rest of our existing order. Essentially meaning two chapters being released fairly close together barring any major issues.
Ikebukuro Hatsu, Zensekai Yuri! - This was something I was initially planning on getting out before today, but that didn't quite work out because the translator I had asked to do it hasn't yet, and I haven't been able to get a hold of him for a week now. Chapter 10 itself is completely clean/redrawn, so it's just a matter of the translation done. We're picking this up from Hyakka, as they're too busy to really do much of anything on the series anymore. They will be providing us with raws, however. Also, the series itself has ended at chapter 20, leaving us with 11 chapters until its scanlation is completed.
iShojo - This is something I really want to do. It's a new weekly series that just started in WSJ. The problem here being that it's a weekly. We've never done a weekly manga while it's ongoing before, and with me going back to work it'd be a bit difficult to keep up with it unless we were to have someone else clean the chapter each week. Assuming we can get someone to do the cleans, we'll probably pick this up.
Kin no Kanojo, Gin no Kanojo - This is a new monthly series that just recently started. It's got a rather interesting premise for what appears to be a rom-com. Dunno when we'll get the first chapter(s) out, but we will be doing this.
Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou - It's been announced that Miracle Jump is coming back in April. So, hopefully that will mean the full time return of Kimi wa Midara. Whether that's the case or not will remain to be seen, as it stands right now chapter 9 is still the latest.
No Game No Life - Chapter 6 is still the latest manga chapter. The manga has skipped the last 4 issues of Comic Alive, for seemingly no reason. At it's current rate we'd be lucky to get chapter 7 before the anime airs in April.
Oniichan dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne - Chapters 12-13 are translated, clean, and redrawn, except for some color pages at the beginning of chapter 12. That is what's currently holding up the releases on it. Once we get those done, Onii Ai chapters will start rolling out.
Puppy Lovers - It's been at least 2 months since I last talked to Terra, despite constantly trying to get ahold of him. I was holding out hope that I'd get an answer, but never seemed to happen. So, from now on this is going to be something translated by Demo, and cleaned by us rather than the previous arrangement we had with the series. There are 12 chapters left in the volume not scanlated, and given the series' size, hopefully it won't take us too long to finish it out.
Sexual Hunter Riot - Chapter 14 is long clean and redrawn, but it's pretty obvious Demo's not too interested in doing the series, so I'm gonna see if I can grab someone else to do a few chapters or something, as I'm a bit frustrated I'm buying Sirius each month for SHR and not releasing anything on it.
Sore ga Kanojo no Seigi nara - Chapter 20 is clean, and I'm 1/3rd through the burning. I don't know how far Dethorhyne is through cleaning chapter 23, but my plan on this right now is to get all the initial cleaning done then roll through the burning and redrawing at once, that way we can either release the last chapters at once or really close together.
Strike the Blood - Chapter 12 is translated, and mostly clean. Problem is the redraws this chapter. We're not doing this as a joint anymore with Psylocke, as jag doesn't want to work on a manga that's so far behind the anime. I can't say I blame him, but we're going to continue soldiering on with the series regardless.
Sora no Manimani - I was pretty hopeful we'd get a chapter or two of this out this offseason, and even had someone who was supposed to be translating it, but they disappeared as quickly as they came, so I'm pretty sad as far as that goes. The series seems pretty cursed translator wise.
Mushi to Medama to Teddy Bear - This series is going to roankun solo, from now on. He told me he had wanted to finish it pretty quickly I think this upcoming April, and I wouldn't really have the time available to help out on it, so he'll be finishing it himself.
