Mediafire and DDLs

This morning, our Mediafire account got suspended. While I'm not exactly surprised it happened, it's incredibly disappointing. The weird thing is, the email notification I got from them just tells me that our releases of Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou were suspended, not any other files or the account itself, but trying to login or download any other files says the whole account is. This leads me to believe we may see an English license of the series announced soon. If that is the case, that's pretty cool, but still sad that the whole account may be lost for good.

Until/if we ever get that account back, we will no longer be posting direct download links. We will just be posting the IRC trigger and a link to read it on Batoto. I'm not particularly fond of this, but I chose this option a while back when I first brought up the possibility of our Mediafire account being blocked. My internet just isn't fast enough reupload all of our releases again, not to mention the fact that we'd end up having to do it again in the future, because inevitably we'd get another account blocked.

So, if you guys want to get any of our previous releases, you're gonna have to hop into IRC and get them from the bot in there.

  1. There are some alternatives. Perhaps you could try using Mega instead.

    1. Yeah, I know there are alternatives. Just, reuploading 354 files + volume 3 of Perowan would take ridiculously long to do at my current internet speed. If for some reason I end up getting a faster internet connection, I may explore alternative sites, but chances are I'm just going keep it at IRC downloads for a while.

    1. As far as I know only the light novel was licensed. Though even if the manga was licensed, until/if we get contacted by the company, we continue doing licensed manga.

  3. Just use Mega from now on. Some of us can help populating the account, if there's a way to set that up. Everything should already be mirrored on mangatraders anyway as far as old stuff.

  4. If I may be so bold as to suggest, using Mega together with Mirrorcreator (in particular Zippyshare, Anonfiles, Gett and Solidfiles as ones without any or at least complicated captcha, good speed and relatively long storage time), would be the best solution. Using Mega alone might cause the same problem in future.

  5. It whould be a good idea to post here (in the entry or in the comments) a brief explanation or a link to some tutorial teaching how to retrieve things from IRC bots, just to avoid it being asked time after time.
