My most vexing post on this blog.

So, uh, hi. Been a while. Wish I didn't have to post this, but here we are. Bad news after the jump.

I haven't been able to get in touch with Derek for a while. Last time I heard from him was March 3rd or so, and nobody else I know has heard from him either. We converse on Line since it's free to use, and it says whether messages have been read. He hasn't read anything since that day in March.

ER (our raw provider) has pretty much been impossible to get a hold of since before that (even Derek hadn't received any responses from him).

The last time Derek disappeared for a while was a multiple-week expedition to Texas for his job. This time, though, I've heard nothing of what he's doing and it's been a lot longer. I worry about him and I miss my friend, but in the meantime I'll have to post about the situation here.

So here's the deal. Renzokusei is going to have to stop operating until Derek shows up and gets the ball rolling again. Please save your money--no more donations until that moment arrives; we aren't paying for any more raws at the moment. I will continue to translate things on demand, though my time for this will be limited by my current job in Japan. I still translate for Let It Go (Ookami-san, Adam in Puberty, and TLC for Domestic na Kanojo specifically) and will continue to translate Yumekui Merry as soon as they can find a new raw provider for it. I will also continue to translate Godspeed for Jagman at Psylocke scans, though he's probably annoyed that I'm so bad at following up when I say I'll get back on track translating it. I just have one volume to go; you'd think moving my ass would be easier when the goal is in sight. Getting back to the topic at hand, though...

I'm sorry to all the readers and silent leechers who have been waiting for us to start operating again, especially after Derek's post about our new priorities. I'm frustrated that I won't be able to finish Sexual Hunter Riot, Nozo x Kimi, Ninkoi, and the rest; even more so that I can't continue to translate Yumekuri, which is my favorite series in a long, long time. Maybe the new Comic Alive RP for Let It Go could give them Yumekuri raws too and I could continue that project through them. That's up to GodricKharg (I haven't asked him yet).

    1. My god, you're bitter for a rando. Find a better use for your time than griping at people who neither hear nor care.

  3. I've already listed a couple of the projects (4) here that I like to be picked up at LetItGo-scans so hopefully they won't be 'idle' for too long.

    1. I know, I want to finish translating it too. Derek was my source of HQ raws (scanned by ER iirc) and I only have part of the tank scans we had been using. I want to put it to rest as much as you do.

  6. Demo, I sent a PM (also unread) to Derek long ago offering raws of Puppy Lovers vol 3 (one of the series whose raws you lost in the computer shenanigans). Would you be interested in them?

    1. And here I was ready to basically offer the cash up to buy vol 3 of Puppy Lovers just so someone out there would finish it. Not sure if you would consider it, but you could always send the raws over to SenManga. Whatever happens I would love to see this finished.

    2. Oh and I completely forgot to thank everyone here for all their work in the past. It would be nice if it could continue, but if not I wish you all the best.

  7. Link to raws as URL to my name in this post.

    1. Derek actually sent me the raws forever ago. I haven't translated them yet but since they're 100% color redrawing takes a real wizard/mental fortitude. Consider that shelved until someone capable and willing to redraw 200 pages of color manga shows up.

  8. Well, as things are, I'm a redrawer/typesetter from another group (/ak/ and /u/ scanlations), under a different nickname ("/u/ typesetter").
If you have no typesetter interested, I'd be more than glad to take it.
