More Freezing. Unfortunately at the moment I have no idea how much longer I'll be able to do any scanlating due to my computer's issues. Chances are I will have to send it in to get repaired or replaced, but unless I can get my old laptop up and running again, as it may have finally reached its end, I don't have much of a choice but to continue trying to fix it myself. I got a new external thanks to prime day (despite Amazon's best attempts at having lackluster sales), so all the scanlation files are safe for now, as well as backed up elsewhere
Tomorrow I should be able to get Kashiwagi 70 and Freezing 186 out. Kashiwagi is clean/translated and I started the redraws, so it's mostly there. Freezing 186 just needs my QC, as does 187, which may find its way out too, depending on my time available.

ReplyDeleteIf you need a new system, have you looked at the Dell Outlet?
You can buy As-new or refurbished dell laptops or desktops for a reduced price. Typically they can work out even cheaper then building a PC yourself.
Otherwise I'd look at some computing forums to see if there are hardware trading / swapping threads going on.
My laptop is brand new. The hard drive (and my external hard drive) got effected by a bad outlet through my surge protector that didn't do it's job properly (it's old and been through a lot), and it's created a chain reaction of things.
