Itoshi no Karin Final Episode

The final chapter... of Itoshi no Karin. To think that there was a point in time where I wasn't going to do this manga. When chapter 1 came out I wasn't convinced, but the moment I saw this page in chapter 2, I knew I had to do it. Demo and I absolutely adored this series, so it'll come as no surprise that we will be picking up any new Horiizumi Inco serialization that may pop up, and we'll keep you updated on any of that news. We've both seriously considered buying several anthologies that she's done single 8 page chapters in, and we probably will end up doing so.
The final volume, 3, comes out February 12th, which we will be buying for any extras it may contain. Speaking of, we still need to do volume 2's extras.
Also, a very big thanks to both the anon from 4chan who scanned the raws, and the anon who alerted us to them. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to do the chapter until next Monday at the earliest.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the last chapter.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the work on this great series - it was very refreshing compared to some of the schlock paint-by-numbers manga that's been put out more recently. I too am looking forward to more from the author.
ReplyDeleteIt did seem to end a bit abruptly. Do you happen to know if it was axed, or if it was just how the mangaka wanted it to end? Maybe I'm looking at it from a biased view as I would love it if they had slowed the story down to allow for 20 more chapters.
Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it (as you did also) and thank you again for the great work.
It wasn't axed. Horiizumi wrote it to pace it this way herself. She's a breakout artist, in essence, and thus needed a short and sweet story first.
DeleteThanks for last chapter of Itoshi no Karin!!! I love this serie <3
ReplyDeleteIt was one big surprise for me when i picked this series up. But i had to agree it grew on me... like FAST. Even though, i have to agree that the ending left us desire for a little bit more than that. Nonetheless, i enjoyed it much. Will be one of the series that deserves a spot on my top 10.
ReplyDeleteThanks the team for translating it.
Calm down Demo. It's very obvious the story was going nowhere after a couple of chapters and was rather pointless. The heroine literally throws herself at the hero and the hero does absolutely nothing other than look like a deer caught in headlights. Given the complete lack of development between the two characters it strains credulity that Karin would continue to bother with Yutaka. Yutaka makes even less sense, since he's in the city to make memories and doesn't make memories with Karin. It does not make sense.
ReplyDeleteIt was cute in the beginning and had potential but failed to deliver.
Thanks for your work on this series. Really enjoyed this title and am looking forward to more of this author's work.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!! Thanks a lot for your hard work on this series!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the work you put into the series; light and fluffy are always nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new last chapter :) , love this series ( ̄▽ ̄๑)
ReplyDeleteThank you, this was certainly one of the nicest series I've read!
ReplyDeleteI was joking, this the "generic" response.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your work on this series. And have a merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteEnding was a bit bland, but nonetheless, thank you guys for all your work!!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have completely missed the point, anonymous. It's possible for a man to not want to be in a relationship. Yutaka wasn't really that bad of a character, honestly. The main reason he didn't accept Karin's confession wasn't just that he was leaving to Niigata, it was that he originally loved her as he loved his flowers. Once he was leaving the city, he realized that he had already made memories with Karin and that he was happy to have met her, thus taking away his barrier, and loving her like a person rather than a flower. He additionally had insecurities of his own and wasn't sure if he'd be a good enough partner for Karin, whom he idolized. Though Karin falling for him might have been a bit too rushed, it still made sense. For one, she is younger and her love may have just been puppy love. She also appreciated Yutaka's dorkiness and admired his passion for gardening as well as his kindheartedness. There were many instances of development between the two (Yutaka holding her the umbrella, healing her flowers, remembering her number, spraying her with the bottle for flowers, her cooking for him, hanging out at his house, talking to him after work and going on a date with him, teasing him on Halloween, apologizing for saying she hates him, and more.) This is all I can write because a lot of your criticisms are baseless or without backing.
ReplyDeleteI've purchased the first two books (gotta get them extra pages!) Loved this series, and thank you for translating it. Much love <3
