New releases are going to have to wait just a little bit
longer. The past couple of days my laptop has been going a bit wacky,
and it turns out this is due to virus(es), and corrupt system files.
I've been very limited in the amount of work I can do because of these
problems, so not much has progressed. I'm currently in the process of
backing up all of my files onto an external, and then I will be
reinstalling Windows.
Tomorrow I'll be able to continue my work properly and it will
all continue at its regular pace. Everyone can also expect a flood of
releases in the next few weeks. While there haven't been any releases in
just under a week now, we've gotten to the point where there is so much
that is almost done that we're going to end up with a lot of releases
once again, similar to when I got back after my laptop's power cord
broke.

also currently in talks with the groups Pink Fatale, Neglected Scans, and
FoOlRulez for joint projects on at least 5 more series which may see

ReplyDeleteYou are taking in more than what you can swallow at too fast a rate. If you don't deliver what you promise frequently, you will lose credibility, not just with leechers, but with other groups. The former is less important since they normally don't care who you are, but the later can determine your 'life and death' in scantalation. It doesn't matter whether you have genuine issues with your PC, internet, or whatnot; promises are promises.
And all those 'possibilities'; creating some hype can be nice sometimes but you are overdoing it. In fact, it's best that you keep them under wraps until they are set in stone. So that if they fall apart, you don't get labeled as a troll. People hate to get their hopes up and then dashed.
Lastly, assuming all your 'talks' go through, you will have too many joints. Having too many joints is risky because many tend to fall apart in time due to staff issues or other hiccups.
Note that it's not my intention to offend you or anything. Just hoping I shared something that makes sense to you. It's good to have a big ambition, but it's better to take it a step at a time, never take more than you can carry, and focus on gaining respect, credibility, and reputation for your group.
I guess people with different experiences will always suggest different things. But I understand where everyone's coming from, esp. given the established history of manga scanlation/anime fansubber groups :)
