Tonari no Kashiwagi-san Chapter 56

It's been a while since our last release, almost 2 weeks now. That was because of work and last weekend I went to my first anime convention. So between the two I ended up basically not being able to get on to do anything at all. Originally meant to release this yesterday, but I got caught up in beating FFX and spent the day playing that.

Anyway, here is a new Kashiwagi chapter. Chapter 57 is the latest, which I'm hoping we can get out before 58 comes out later this month, but I'm not too sure we'll be able to. I've started the cleaning, but it's not translated yet. Luckily I can manage the redraws myself for this chapter, so once translated I won't need to wait on redraws to release it.

Enjoy the release!

Karin volume 2 is out now, and I've ordered it for myself. If there are any extras in it, I'll be adding it to one of our orders from Amazon so Sasuke can scan them and we can release them to everyone.

Next up will be the double Puppy Lovers chapters.

  2. You call this cleaning?

So much for quality check. I think you may have a shitty screen if you weren't able to see all this left over dirt on the spot. It's all over this chapter too, not just this page.

    1. Well for me, the left over is called drawing I guess. The quality seems to be fair enough for me.
I mean if you think you can do so much better (and maybe you can) why don't you apply to give a hand ?

For the team to do so many project with this thing they call real life, all I have to say is thank you very much guys (and excuse my half assed english, I'm French ^^)

    2. There was more dirt on the pages than usual for the magazine, and I failed to notice it, oh no it's the end of the world? Manga Time Kirara Forward generally has very good printing, and 99.99% of the time it's not necessary to check for dirt at all. Get over yourself.

Right back at you, that was a legitimate complaint. If you're going to say you quality checked it then don't leave shit like that. It's really easily avoidable if you put just a few more minutes of time per chapter. Hell, you could even automate a check during or right after cleaning with a levels layer and actions without ruining the work that's been done.

    4. I'm perfectly fine with criticism, but your post came far more across as being a condescending asshole than just being critical.

I /did/ QC it, but like I said, it's just not necessary to even look for something like that when it comes to anything from that magazine. I used to regularly check for that when I first started the series, but after a dozen+ chapters of nothing like that appearing, I stopped looking.

What possible point is there in looking for something that I've never had to look for before?

It makes you feel good after not finding anything bad. I say that's worth it.

    6. What I don't get is, if you're going to complain anyway, then why don't you do the group a favor and help out so you can "feel good"? If you don't know how to help out, then learn. But if you're not willing to learn or join, then you really shouldn't bother complaining about their releases. Saying something that's already been said many times before, you're lucky to even have any manga translated by anyone at all.

    7. Derek, you must understand that readers have EXTREMELY high expectations of you due to your colorful history and the number of series you work on.

Despite how condescending Anon#1's complaint may appear, there is no need to become defensive; your response simply adds fuel to the flames. Simply accept it and be aware for next time.

    8. Well I'm not a specialist on scanlation but on the final result there's not the "dirt" that you're talking about. So what's the problem here?

  4. Can't wait for Puppy Lovers!!!! Thanks for you hard work. Any criticism I have is leveled at the author not the job you guys do. I mean it's not your fault if the author puts out something lame, trite and uninspiring.
